James Buck, Esquire

Picture​James Buck, Esquire has been an associate with the firm since August 2015. He focuses his practice on Bankruptcy and Civil Litigation representing clients who have issues in a wide assortment of areas including Bankruptcy, Personal Injury, Real Estate, Landlord-Tenant and Contract matters.

As a first-generation college student James earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Elizabethtown College and Juris Doctorate from the Widener University School of Law. James graduated with multiple honors including awards for pro bono service, Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Honor Societies and was one of the first students awarded an Advocacy Certificate from the Harrisburg campus. In 2013 James went on to earn his Legum Magister (LL.M) degree in Trial Advocacy from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, which has been ranked in the top three programs in the nation for the past 20 years.

He began his legal career in the realm of personal bankruptcy and consumer litigation. After that, he spent a number of years as counsel for a corporation handling various matter throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

James comes to the firm with a commitment toward helping individuals. He has been recognized for his pro bono efforts in law school as well as in practice. While in law school, he volunteered to help low income families through the school’s civil law clinic, income tax assistance programs, the Wills for Heroes program and even volunteered to coach mock trial. As an attorney James continues his pro bono work in a number of ways from volunteering to coach mock trial to handling pro bono cases.

James is admitted to practice in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Courts as well as the Federal Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Philadelphia Compulsory Arbitration Program.​
